WHICH PLUG ?
The question of comparable spark plugs often comes up. The attached list will tell you the tech specs and alternatives to most plugs.
Hope it's of some value.

Hi Shadow. Nice reference.
IMHO. I would use the iridiums. period.
Why you ask? I tried them on a lark after replacing the standard NGK plugs (with 6000 miles on them. )
The bike started better/ faster/ ran smoother, and felt like more power on the bottom. I realize that this is somewhat subjective, but It actually did start and run better. It surprized the hell out of me too.
Just plugs? Yup.
Now, I know this sounds like an endorsement and a plug(!) for the iridium plugs, but its true. Im not a dealer, reseller,or any connection whatsoever with NGK etc.
My 1993 has KN/Yoshi/Dyna mods to it,and it loved the iridium. I am pushing them just because they did make an improvement.

Hi Art, and thanks to all for the input. The intention was not to debate which plugs are best for the Hurricanes, but purely a reference if one is stuck and can't find the normal NGK's, Champions or whatever......having said that it's great that we now have a positive report on the irridiums and I for one will be trying them next time out. I change plugs every 5000 K's along with oil & filter, and don't have long to go. Irridiums here are about 4x as expensive as std plugs, but for better running it'd be worth it - the change interval is probably also a bit longer.....?
Thanks Art, good stuff.
