RE: Plastic Welding
Guys!!
I have been fixing my 87 Cane, and tried to use "bimper repaire kit" that you can easily purchase from any kind of aouto part shop. IT IS WORKING!! It still have flexibility after completly dry. You can sand itand use as filler or adhesive. I don't know how strong it is, but please see some pictures that I applied it to some cracks and a seperated part on the upper cowl.

For above pictures,
Top: You can pick this almost everywhere. I got this from Wal-Mart.
Middle: Left side. There was a crack the length about 5 in. This is after second coat.
Bottom: Top cowling. Actually both side of this part is seperated right side is already hardened.
This bumper repair comes with some mesh. You can use the mesh for reinforcement.

Looks like fiberglass, just a cloth and epoxy. That would be pretty sweet!

RE: Plastic Welding
The "Bumper Repair Kit" that I introduced above is working great. Different from other epoxy fillings, this one is still flexible after completely hardened. I applied fiber cloth and this for the top cowring's separated parts. I am thinking send the parts (top and the both side cowring) to pait shop and paint in the original color. Does someone know where the original "1000" decals can be obtained?
