Picked up an 87 Hurricane, some problems

RE: Picked up an 87 Hurricane, some problems
I picked a mostly stock87 up last year with 29k mi. and did the following for performance and peace of mind.
K&N air filter
4 to 1 VH supersport (have the orig. header and clean cobra F1r slip-ons if any interest out there)*
ear plugs nessc...
dynojet stage 1 jets
new spark plugs
New clutch plate discs
changed ALL fluids and filters
progressive forks springs (would like to find and update the rear shock set-up)
re-matched tires w/ Battlax bt-45
valve adj. carg sync. timing chain tensioning (helped a lot)
SS front brake lines (have another new ss frt line, if anyone is interested)*
New brake pads frt &back
drive chain o-ring type was fine so cleaned and lubed.
added a wig-wag flasher to the brake light (like it)
and hot grips for the coastal rides. (she loves screaming down the Pacific Coast Highway!)
picked up an old Corbin gunfighter and recovered it.
Not sure how proactive I can be with the electrical ( the more I read this forum, I wonder about the altr. or rectifier giving out from age)
All seems fine fornow...Looking to ride it to the USGP at Laguna Seca.
After around 2k mi. on this set up, I'm getting some spuddering at around 6k rpm and assuming that it getting too much fuel?

RE: Picked up an 87 Hurricane, some problems
Took her to work today on the highway, 50 miles one way. First off, great gas mileage i wasn't really keeping track but i burned about half a tank for the whole trip plus a side trip to get it inspected. About 125 miles total. Second, she handles well at highway speeds(and slightly faster) no shakes or wobbles, and goes straight.
Question for you all, does anyone know any aftermarket mirrows for this bike? mine were painted over, most likely because of a dump, and they look like ****, i cut the rubber booties off today because they were unsalvagable. If you do let me know.
Still running the first can of sea foam through two tanks. Does anyone think i should do another one?
Thanks folks

I'm located in Worcester, MA. Anyone know some decent stealerships around here? Thanks for the tip on the mirrors, i cut off the rubber boots on the mirrors, and while it does look a little better, it just doesnt flow. So I will be needing some new ones

There's a reason why they're called stealerships. Might try ebay, but they are a hard part to find being so old. The same mirror fit the 87-90 CBR 600. And disregard my earlier post about the price: that price is for the 93-96 1000f, not the 87/88 model, but the bolt holes might line up.
