Looks hot man, that's a great price, especially if you can do all the fix up yourself. Good luck!

Looks like you reupholstered the seat. Looks good. Did you lower the front end or did it come that way? What's that NOS bottle-looking thing on the rear? Those fairings sure don't look like they are shaped like my 93.

Look again, House...
I think what may be throwing you off is the color.... and the missing protectors (upper and lower).... and the mesh that was added to the vents in the side covers. Otherwise, it's the same shape. It's definitely a MK3 body.

I noticed the mesh, and thought that was actually a great idea. Also, I was trying to find the "built in frame sliders" which don't seem to be in the right place (too far forward). Something is off somehow, and not just uncovered. That front end looks like earlier plastic. I'm going to have to look at mine again, and squint.

No, I am sorry, I actually threw out the rear turn signals, what an idiot I was. I did not realize another member here could use it. Now I know, anything I take off in the future I will put on here up for grabs.

I also now know what you guys are talking about on the vents. The screens were already there. Its a good thing cause I seen a lot of these bikes with the vents cracked. The front is a factory 95 1000F. It might look a little different cause of the single color and I dropped the front end a little by sliding the forks so it handles and launches better at the track with the 30hp shot of nitrous.

Yeah, I've seen that quite a bit, too. Weak spot for sure.
I saw an 88 with stainless mesh in the front vents once. Looked a lot better than I would have thought.

Mine's one of the ones with the cracked vents...one side has bits missing, the other side's cracking. Would you mind posting a close up of inside for me please? I'm curious to see how they're attached. I've been thinking about how to fix mine or whether to buy new covers. Thing is the new ones would just do the same. Mesh might be the way to go.

You've scored bigtime with your bike mate and done a nice job of the rebirthing! The orange wasn't a look I could have stood either...would've had to throw a tarp over it on the way home too.

Dave, I found some plastic mesh on a construction site recently - I'll send you a pic if you like.........?
O and Killerz,I'd find a pair of crashbar covers to finish the middle of the fairings off (if it was me)
