Overheeting Probs? Try this
Sorry if this is a repost.
I watched a car show yesterday and rather than delve into the wiring and try and fix a faulty thermostat (It was a rarish car here in the UK) they fitting sonething sinlar to this

I thought it would be a great idea for those of us (Not me lol) who live in warmer climes and want there fan to come on earlier.

Ive seen them before but not that cheap. IMHO if you need to go to that length then there is something wrong & it needs to be sorted out (I found out the hard way). These babies seem to run hot but their cooling systems do work quite well. You must also bear in mind that if the fan comes on too early or if you have a thermostat with a low opening temperature you can actually cause damage to the motor.
I'll get off my soap box now.

I'm not having a shot at the origonal post. I understand the feeling as I live in one of those climates & have been down that road. As far as toasted goolies are concerned it has nothing to do with the fan. It's the way the fairing contains the heat & then allows it to escape through the fairing joins. Check out my previous post. https://cbrforum.com/forum/how-tos-81/heat-shielding-86993/

Good morning all
here is what I did
I bought foam tape that is used to seal doors in winter so th coldwon't come in, it work s, i place at the seam of the tank and side covers, and i did not feel the heat and it seems it has reistablished the airflow because the engine runs cooler, more to come.
