Can anyone explain what is the purpose of the two short plastic hoses coming from the oil cooler matrix? Its a mystery to me. When I bought my project bike, it had no foil cooler fitted, only a copper household heating pipe connected the two oil pipe junctions from the block !!!!

 

They are only a tell-tale drain for the matrix, oil can collect in the "cup" if the pipes are not tight these pipes will run it away and you will see oil in the pipe ,hence being clear plastic
