Do it once a year or at least at 5000km !

 

I wonder if we apply simular oil care methodology to our cars.
I remember a client of mine proudly tell me the his new european car needed only be service every 25,000Km
That’s just wrong


In Australia, most cars have a 15K/6month service, I do mine at 10K. I believe that the US and Europe are a little different

 

The newer cars use "longlife" oil and that allows them to go several thousands of km.
My old -94 Audi only gets mineral oil (the old type non synthetic) every 10K although the servicebook says 15K.

 

I used to ride on 1978 CB750F with air cooled engine (I still have it with a dropped engine). I changed oil every 2500 miles. For CBR, every 3000 miles. It even makes me guilty....

 

I do my 88 every 5000kon syn. I have put my work van on syn and did a oil sample at 5000k and still ok going to run to 10000k and recheck it is a toyota 2.8 Diesel
