Default Distance Riding?

Hey you guys, i was wondering if anyone has ever done any distance riding? would you not recommend it on a sport bike. would it be a waste of tires?

how about from CT to FL? can this be done or will i have lost the feeling in my arms 1/2 way there.

the longest ive ridden is about 2hrs.

how'd you feel after two hours? After two hours of spirited riding i get sore. so I'd probably say distance riding an f2 would probably suck unless you have an upgraded seat. You'd probably want to change tires to a harder touring compound as well.

You can do distance on a CBR. Many of the guys here have done it, some halfway cross the country and further. But they are very experienced at doing this. And they did not jump from 2 hr trips to a 12 hr+ trips.

The first time i bought my bike i had to ride it from san antonio TX to shreveport, LA. Did it in about 7-8 hours. It really is all about how much you can mentally take.

I did a road trip in the summer where we did at least 5hrs a day on the bike with lots of breaks to give the arms and *** a rest (traveled for about 8hrs a day). If you aren't on a super tight schedule it should be fun. If you need to do 800km or more a day you will probably not have fun. Our total road trip was slightly more than 2300km in 6 days and we had a great time and were not sore much at all.

on an F2, piece of ****. (I have no idea where CT or FL are though!!)
where I live, I regularly do rides of around 1,000km or more in a day, its a piece of cake. (thats 600-700 miles)

I do it and often only stop for fuel.

however if the longest you have ridden is two hours, then I dont suggest a massive trip aye.

if your question is whether or not an F2 will do it, answer is yes. Id say most modern sportsbikes would do it too, though the later models (say 2004/5 onwards) would give you very sore wrists, from the more agressive riding positions.

hope that info helps!?!?
