No It's Not Another Tyre Thread
Just wanted to show you guys what happened to my tyre over the course of this weekend!
Needless to say tonight's evening ride has been cancelled!!
I think I've got all the miles I'm gonna get out of this one! Between availability at a reasonable cost and work commitments I can't get a new one fitted untill Saturday. Will be using these guys :-

Used them before for the front tyre and was very happy .
The thing I don't understand though is , I'm buying Bridgestone BT020's again 180/55 R17 W73 and they have about 5 different listings at £141 and one at £115 all with the same above spec's. The £141 tyres have actual bike models listed eg Blackbird , ZZR1200 ect.
So what's this all about , are they just gonna rip off 'Blackbird' riders , or is there a difference even though the spec's listing is exactly the same???
BTW if you want to check-out bike tyres in the link , you need to click on the brown 'bike tyre' button first.

No , yes and no!
No Harry It's through to the cloth no metal as yet!
Yes Nutter I should have changed it before the weekend , didn't realise it would deteriorate quite as quick as it did
No Sir Trout , we English spell tyre with a 'Y', as the word 'tire', means 'to become tired of ' , as in 'you're tired of me boring you to death about stupid spellings'!!!
Anyone got any ideas about the difference in price for the BT020's???

Just a quick additional comment . I would like to make it clear that I am in NO WAY proud of the condition of my rear tyre and was genuinely shocked when I saw the state it was in! I do not make a habit of driving vehicles in an un-roadworthy condition . My only defence is inexperience , and the moment I realised how wrong I had been , the bike went straight in the garage , not to be ridden again , even though we have had glorious weather .
The only reason I posted the picture was because I was so shocked at how fast a tyre can go from 'passable' to 'death-trap!'

But remember, as wit our bikes wich are becoming more and more rare, remeber so are the poeple in this forum, we are a good bucnh from all over the world and i may speak for mysel, i have been on a few forums, but tis one is special the guys are genuine with a sense of humor but most of all, we are bound by te love of our old ladies, as much i would hate see a cbr10000f go, i think i would hate more to see one of our member and a proud owner go with it.
Be careful brother and even more than our bikes we cannot be replaced.
