Hi there,

Always good to have another CBR (The original & REAL CBR1000) rider on board.

Cheers

Hi Karlo,
I'm a UK Newbie too...currently stripping an '87 hurricane. I'm from Saltburn, just outside Middlesbrough, if you're ever down this way, pop in for a cuppa.
Regards
Martin

Looks really cool, as does Karlo's..mines currently refusing to let me get the engine out the frame...I've got the bruises to prove it.

Wouldn't mind seeing some larger pics of both.
Regards
Martin

Martin:

I had more problems getting the motor out of the older CBR than the newer bike. the fit was real tight on the side without the spacer/lock nut once I got that loose and all the bolts out she came out pretty easy , but I had the carbs off , water hoses off and the jack barely up under it and it did not move. I removed the six bolts on the front of frame/engine, still was no movement, I loosen the rear engine bolt with the spacer lock nut and it almost fell out of the bike. So I did this with the newer frame motor and removed the bolts and it came out a lot easier than the older frame as I said before. So you may want to try that. if you want another pic or 2, send a place where I can email to you as the pics are to large in orig format to post here. Good luck on getting that motor out.

Cheers Mate!

Welcome to the site, and to the CBR. Great bike, isn't it?
