Hi guys. I'm new to this forum and would like to introduce myself. I'm from Palawan in the Philippines and although I learned to ride at a young age, I only started riding actively when I got my '88 1000F a little over a year ago. I purchased it from a friend who hardly used it ( it had about 5000 kms. on it ) and have been slowly working on it to get it back in shape. So far, I have replaced the cam chain and tensioner, put in new fork seals and new tires, replaced the fuel pump and petcock, had the seat reupholstered, changed all the plug caps and cables, and had the whole bike repainted. I'm hoping to replace my rear wheel next so as to be able to run newer performance tires. Anyways, I'm really glad to be here and I hope to learn a lot by hanging around. Oh, and thanks for having me!

Welcome to the forum. I am not from Southeastern Asia, but originally from Japan. I have been living in Eastcoast US about 15 years. I have 1987 Cane. You know what? our Cane runs without fuelpump. Mine died last summer and I simply bypassed the fuelpump. Still got 180 miles with the fully open throttle. Not like madkawa's bike, but mine is under repaint project. I dropped my Cane last fall, because of a stupid driver. I started repairing the plastics and I tried to repaint at the paitshop, but at the end of 2006 my teenage dauter and I got speedy ticket. My budget for paint was gone... So I am painting part by part. My Cane got 3 different color right now...
