Hello All. just wanted to say I am new to the Fold.
I have a 96 100f with less than 9k on the clock. The bike was kept immaculately by the two previous owners..
I have always liked this bike. I personally think the 90 looks more like the newer models.
I like the 96, just wish the front fender was a little larger as well as some curvature in the rear cowling.
I have ordered a couple of spare pieces of each to play with some alterations.
I love this bike compared to the CBR1100xx, The XX is more powerful, but not as comfortable.
This bike just seems to have a nicer powerband. Easier on the neck muscles. I have put 800 miles on it since the purchase.
I have always thought the BMW K1200GT stole it's design from this bike. I love the reliablility, I am used to the LBS, it has been on all of my previous bikes, so I am more used to it than anything else.
I will follow my post with some pics... My camera is on the charger...
Basically, the same as other 96's Black-Gray- Lime green highlights.(They are growing on me)
Again just saying Hello.
Len

Hi Len,

GREAT BIKE! I have a '93 CBR1000 myself. I also found it better than the XX.

Have a great time with the bike and ride safely!

Thanks for the welcome guys... I will be posting.... I have been searching old threads like crazy.
I have been riding the bike a lot. Went out with a friend and his Ducati.. We cruised about 100 miles.
It was a nice shakedown ride for both of us.. We were just getting aquainted with the bikes..
I have found that this bike is deceptively fast... Hell pulls like a freight train.. I love it...
140 came up real quickly.. (Very long straights and sweeping curves, No traffic for miles.. Very safe as far as other commuters.)
I check this forum 2 times per day... Are there any others like it?

I didn't find mine on ebay, but you may want to look there.
Some are very nice ones on there. One with less than 5k miles.
I have been looking, got lucky about 50 miles from my house.
There are some nice 93s on Ebay...
Good luck
