Default new ride...

Well guys i finally did it, i traded in the CBR. I couldn't handle the grief any longer. The poor old thing had become so unreliable each outing i wondered if she would get be back home. tried ebay lots of questions but no bids. most bike shops wouldn't take her as a trade but one and they reckon that are going to send her to the wreckers, i was disappointed to hear that. i had a choice of a VTR or the Daytona 955i. i had to go the Triumph it looked so good just sitting there and sounds awsome, (see pic).
this forum has been a great place to hang out, get advise and info, lotz a laughs, thanks for all the help over the past year or two, i will look for a good Triumph forum but doubt if it will be as good as this one...
will keep an eye on what u guys are up to, better go before i start crying...

Congrats on your new bike. No need to hold on to an old bike if it gives you worries :-)

Best of luck

thanks Noe and rhino, report to date: luv the Daytona, riding position is a little more sporty, seem to sit in rather than on it, the suspension at the moment is very hard, soon as i can download a manual from somewhere i'll sort it. this might sound a little funny but i feel as though i knew the CBR better, u know always pulling things off , cleaning all that kinda stuff. this one just sits there, nothing to do but look at it when not riding. am actually on the Trumpy a lot more because its so reliable which the CBR would have been if it hadn't such a hard life. so far so good, c ya...

Nice one Pete.
Saw your bike on ebay a while ago and meant to contact you.
Trumpy's a nice bike, suppose if you had to go to the other side you could do a lot worse! LOL
congrats

hey peterk, congrats - that is one cool looking bike you got there. The pillion looks entirely suitable for a midget - could a decent size bloke even consider sitting on the back of that? (no offence to midgets or anything)

Remember the wise words of Wavy Gravy:

"Stay cool, calm, collected - and crazy"

Cheers

thanks Madkawa, Phill, so far the dark side is a good place for me, gorilla as far as the pillion seat goes, i don't think i would like to be perched up there, (and i won't be), had a couple of female friends asking for a ride guess they will just have to get up nice and close and hold tight... could think of worse things!!!
