Hi everyone...new to this forum, just pickedmy 12/1997 CBR after being out of the bike scene for a while. Nice buke, just getting use to it. Easy to ride, needs new back tyre and a few adjustments here and there. I'd like to do servicing and minor maintanance my self so will look forward to your advise and wisdom in the days...months to come.

1st question off the rank is this...I notice a bit od a 'dead spot' between powering off and the on again while in motion. Is this a throttle cable issue or perhaps a loose chain? or is it normal.

To try and better explain it...when cruising along and powering off because of traffic or what ever...there seems to be a blank spot when powering on again...then suddenly...away we go again, sometimes with a bit of a jurk...hope that makes sence.

Any clues?

Thanks people and look forward to corresponding with you all.

As to your first question, I really don' know what your talking about- my bike doesn't do that. As to your second question: hit the button above entitled "post reply", then on the page that appears, underneath the dialogue box, check the box entitled "Embed picture in post", then click on "Click here to upload", then click "Browse" and navigate to your pic.
