Where is this pin hole you talk of. Am replacing seals and pistons this weekend and thought should check that as well...

The pinhole is in the master cylinder bore to reservoir -from a dim distant memory. It allows pressure release from the lines and callipers when the lever is released and the piston springs back in the master cylinder bore.

Dismantle the master cylinder and look down the bore - you should be able to see a small hole -this is what needs to be checked for corrosion.

& usually there's a little elevated metal deflector tab over it
