Need tires for `88 Hurricane
Hello all:
Have a `88 Hurricane, 12k on her. She has Metzeler 110/80 v17 v270 me33 laser on the front. Metzeler 140/80 b17 m/c69v me55a metronic on the back. Back is good, front needs replacing. Will be replacing both. I would like to move up to 120/80-17 & 150/180-17 and am having a hard time finding tires in that size. I see that there are more choices in the 120/70-17 & 150/70-17 size. Can I use this tire on this bike without issues? I am looking at BT021's or PR-2's. FYI, first time buying tires.

You can't put a 170 or 180 on the 87-88 model. Have to change rim, fender. I did the swing arm and brakes too to fit an 180 on there. If you do put 180 on there you do not use the whole tire.

Also the Avos are amazing tires cheapers than other brands they stick like glue, you always know what the bike is doing in the rain they are incredible, i caught myself going 140 in the rain, and they did not even move, i slowed down when i realized that, and best of all the bike is more lively and respond much better to inputs.. i had bt-21 before and i did not like them at all.
If you look at my post i made the recipe.
Good day to all!
