Default Need Help With Center Stand

For some stupid reason, I can't figure out how to get the center stand to hold my '93 1KF. I know, I'm not too slick. I tried to step on it and rock the bike to get it up, but that doesn't work. PLEASE HELP!

u need to put yr foot facing forward and sort of like push with yr foot away from the bike and give it a large armfull pulling back, usualy with the steering on lock i.e key turned to the lock pos, problem was poor centre stand design imo

Check the sag (hang)on the rear. In case the bike hangslike and old sofathe requiredforce to put it on thecenter stand will be very high. If the rear e.g. is raised30 mm, the bike can be put on the centertand by justpulling the left handle bar lightly.Italsobecomes easier if you lift the bike withtherighthand on the footpeg.

I do the same as Bobjan, above. No problem. The key for me is the hand on the grab handle under the rear seat. Gives lots of control and the necessary lift.

I was having a challenge here too. I have a small 3/4 inch piece of plywood in my driveway that I place my sidestand on. When I want to put it on its centerstand, I put the piece behind my rear wheel, roll back onto it, then while sitting on the bike, I put my foot on the stand and give a good yank back. Sometimes I need to put on front brake if I only get part way there, then yank again. Now its very easy.

Also don't try and pull the bike up on the stand. Push down on the stand hard with your foot. Put as much weight on it as you can, and the bike will pop right up with out having to pull hard on the bars and grab handle.
