Man, you are looking fine now. Love the color. How many hours and $$ do you estimate?

Thanks guys!

It took a few hours to paint flat black (spray can from Canadian Tire) and the fairings were painted in about 4 hrs.

It took about two weeks from start to finish and cost was very reasonable. About $150.

Painting in a paint booth: priceless ( I got to use it for free )

Hey there Rookie , couldn't help noticing the length of your mirrors are they from the later 1000f ?(I think '94 on). If so , do they slot straight on , or did you need to modify them?

I know there was an earlier thread on this subject , but it seemed to fizzle out.

That's a really gorgeous job you did there- love the new color, and you really can't tell it's not a mint bike.

Hi Hawk - they look to be the same mirrors I am using (I dont have carbon look ones though)

Yes they are from a later model (93 on?) the mounting holes are a tad too close together to mount on our bikes - but if you drill the holes out with a 13mm bit - they will just slide on nicely!

They stick out about 2inches further than standard and get rid of that "Dont I have lovelly elbows" view that we tend to get
