Default Lower fairing attachment

Hi,
i have a 90 1000f that I just purchased. It has an aftermarket exhaust and the lower fairings are flapping. The bottom of the fairing is not bolted into anything.
The center stand has also been removed. I’m trying to return it to stock, but I can’t figure out where the lower bolt of that fairing goes.
Does it somehow bolt into the center stand mount or the factory header?
I’m in the process of ordering parts and this puzzles me.
Thanks,
John

Hey John,

Welcome to the forum.

The lower belly pan pieces are attached to some outer tins that hide the exhaust pipes before the mufflers. Aftermarket cans usually don't have any provisions for using these tin pieces, so they have to be removed, which leads to your problem.

Honestly, I don't have an answer for that.

Center stands can be found on ebay. Where are you located?

Thanks for the info.
I found a center stand and all the exhaust bits on eBay. I now see the rear lower bolt attaches to the exhaust heat shield.
I’m in Ohio.
