Default looking for plastics maybe

Thanks for the welcome,i am impressed by the quilty of this forum.I am woundering what to do with my hurricane, i really like it and dont want to sell it.Just need some help or ideas to take the hurricane to the next step.I know it is my choice what to do but would just like some opinons.I like naked bikes but not sure if it would work with the hurricane.I also like what the hurricane looks like with all the plastics but seem to be hard to find and the honda shop wanted $1,100 for just the mids,is that evenreasonable.Shadow1 showed a pic of his bike and now i know what mine would look like if it had all the plastics cause my tank has the same colors.Really nice by the way and how did you know it was a California model?

Ebay has been my Best Luck but you have to Bid High sometimes. These are Expensive & Hard to find items.

Also, you can try Craigslist.net, select your area.

I have a Fiberglass Right Side that is Primer Black that I don't plan to use. If you are interested, pm me w/ email address and I will send you a Photo or two.

Good Luck.

California models were the only ones that came out in those colours.
Plenty of nakeds around - not my cup of tea, though. See previous posts for naked mods.
There are panels on e-Bay.uk at the moment which you would have to respray, but not too expensive.
If you need a manual, let me know.

I've been thinking a lot lately about my broken plastics. WhatI am considering doing during the off season is mocking up a pattern for the entire side of the bike. This would encompass the lower side pieces and the upper side pieces. ThoughtI could use a heavy gauge piece of poster board attach it to the original attachment points, cut out all the vent holes. Then build up the vents with foam to the stock appearance and finaly skin it in fiberglass to make a mold.

After I have the mold, lay up two or three sets of side and paint them all different. That wayI could have three different bikes. Kind of like a skin for an ipod.

Therefore each side is only one piece that bolts up to the belly pan, the belly pan could be painted flat black, the upper fairing could also be painted a neutral color that goes with the paint on the sides.

any ideas?
