sprock, I was paying exactly the same.
$179/yr....
I'm paying more since buying a new bike last month, though...
Got full coverage on it, including the add-ons. I think in total with the 2 bikes I pay $350/yr. Still not horribly bad. I had a little blip on my record (not an accident.. ), that just came off at the beginning of this month, so it will come down. My car insurance already came down like 10% this month. Record is finally spotless. For once in my life, I think...

$156/yr.
Mine is bare minimum coverage for Arizona though. I have AWESOME medical insurance through my job, so I don't carry medical on the bike. And eventhough I think she's worth it, my insurance company isn't gonna repair a bike thats almost 20yrs old "sigh". So I just carry the minimum on her.
Anything else was through the roof though, FULL coverage was like $150/month the year.

Massachusetts ........man they pay like 7 fitty + in some places
Lucky you I was spotless myself but got zapped doing 87

Good thing I racked up some credit points in the past.
Went to Court to try and beat it .......my luck the Cop
was the Duty Officer for that day ......we had a few tense
words and I said ......chit just let me pay the freight OK !
Same Dude rolled his cruiser a few days later ....kinda explains

Ha ha... That's good..
Well, the cop I had to go to court against brought his daddy along with him!! What kind of man brings his DADDY to court with him??
His dad was also a town cop (apparently the locals call him "trigger happy" insert last name here). He had nothing to do with the case at all.
Junior had no problem accepting my lawyer's bargain, but daddy cop said "No way... you need to throw the book at him!"
Can you believe that chit? Junior did just as daddy said, too, and rejected!!!
My lawyer (a hot ex-DA...lol) made short work of him, and got all the charges dropped except one, but STILL.. I was soooo pi$$ed off.

what type things do your insurance cover there in usa?
Do they only pay when somebody else is to blame for accident or you can crash your bike by yourself, pay personal responsibility and they fix everything?
the first one in here is compulsory and pays for me about 100 euro/year, the second one... well its too expensive to even consider having it on so old bike but usually most of new cars have it.
