Default Leaking Petrol..........Help

Hi Everyone,

I rode the bike last week, no problems, Started the bike today and is leaking petrol from what looks like an overflow pipe that comes out of the carby and down in front of the air box (there are two of these pipes) but only one is leaking (left side).
The only things i have done
1. adjusted the crank balancer (not related)
2. checked the air filter

I checked to make sure i had not crimped any breather hoses, all clear.
It also sounds like the bike is idling with the choke full on when it is not

Any ideas

Thanks

Aussie Johnno

Is this the little hose that is connected to the bottom of the filler cap?

The two pipes come from the inlet side of the carby and down in front of the air box, not connected to anything just venting to the air.

Tap the carb float area with a piece of wood and a hammer - may just be a stuck float.
Also check the hose that connects to the tank - it would run down in the same area ........

Certainly sounds like stuck float. As Shadow said give a tap with a block of wood. If it doesn't work you may have to remove the carbies & reset the float levels. They do alter over a period of time. It can be done in about an hour & is not that difficult.
