Just shows you how much time we spend on the Forum.(ESPECIALLY ME-way too much)-
that we could be putting to other use. I wouldn't change it, though.......

I registered the bike today to get it on the road. I also transfered the license plate from my beloved Zephyr 750 (RIP).

On my lunch break I stopped home and put on the front fairing and inner cowl. I'm going to have to go slow since I forgot how it all goes together.
The rear tail light is working, but the brake light isn't lighting up. Odd.

A little per day and I'm getting there!!!

Just remember when putting your cowls back on, the left side, ensure you get the fan switch on the radiator tucked inside the cowl. I have had it hangin out a few times after getting every screw put back in, then to realize I had take all apart again.....Grrrrrrr
My bike was dropped (not by me) on the left side and it broke the banana shaped plastic piece (pardon my techno garble) and the metal bracket behind it. Needless to say I have a funny wood screw that is the only screw I cound find to now fit it. The aluminun case on the left side behind that plastic cover ( which I forget has to come off and I foget and leave it on, Doh!) cracked and leaked oil. The old JB weld worked wonders for that repair.

Anyways, good luck

And one other thing, I can't find any grease fittings on my swing-arm. How did you grease yours?

I did a marathon wrench session today and got the bike completed to the point where I was able to take it out on a short shake down run.
So far so good. I need to finish the plastics, especially the piece that goes in front of the radiator. The fuel filter I got is too big for the fairing, so I need to go to the bike shop and get a smaller one.

I did the valves too and they're loud (tapping noise). Is this normal for this bike?

Tapping from valves is not normal. Maybe some are incorrectly adjusted, or something else is making the noise - CCT ?
Glad she's running, tho'
