A difference of 2 on your guages seems acceptable. However, you said one of your adjustment screws is turned all the way to the end of its range. This means that you have no adjustment left on that one if things should get out of synch again. It is better if all the screws are set so that you have adjustment left in both directions. I read a procedure for resetting the screws to a new baseline and starting over when in the situation you describe. I'll see if I can find it and post it up. Also, I think your idle is too high. Should be between 1,000 and 1,100 RPM.

2 on the gauges is OK but not much more, less is better. I can get mine to 1/2.
1,000RPM-1,100RPM is correct. I balance mine at 900RPM and then turn it up.

I was thinking of trying to make one with pipets and tubing and such, but would much rather have a carbtune. Damn that pound beating up on the dollar....

Or take it to the shop and have them sync your carb`s for twice the price.
