Default I found a 90 guys on ebay....opinions???

Hi Guys,

Been a couple months since I last posed. I have been scanning the ads etc and this one just came up forsale.I found a 1990 with 42k miles on it about 2 hours from me on ebay. The guy was pretty specific about all the maintenance that has been done to the bike. I haven't seen the bike yet, and If I bid I will take a look at it in person 1st. Read the ad, let me know your thoughts, and also what do you think a fair price is? I am thinking around 3000. If I do go to look at it, and specific areas I should pay attention to? Problem areas, etc.Let me know, I have 5 days til end of auction.

Thanks in advance,

Brett

Wow! Wish mine looked that good. As far as known issues: regulator/rectifier. I see a lot of postings about that problem. In fact, I've had it myself. Ask him if it has ever been replaced as I did not see that mentioned in the ad.

Watch out for rust in the fuel tank, normally at the top of the tank on the underside where the top mounting plate is.

I think $3,000 is a little bit high. You can probably get it cheaper than that.
Just a thought.

Very nice bike, though, no doubt.

Matching tie straps ? Missing tabs ?
Tank dented ?
Windscreen scratched ?
Have a good look at the bike before purchase -
I think $3K's too much.
