What would happen if you got on it, turned the key and rode it? That's how I would do it.

But hey, that's me, always looking for an excuse to ride. Sure beats sitting in a truck hauling a bike.

Funny how these old threads get a new life every so often.

I guess I'll throw my 2 cents in too.

When I trailer (which I really, really hate doing-bought the dam thing to ride, right?) I use straps on each grip ties to the from corners and one strap wrapped around the back tire side to side to keep the back from shifting to te side.
Cinch the bar straps down 1-1/2" and get the thing off the trailer as soon as you can!

I did trailer mine home the day I bought it on new years day,26 deg and 180 miles did not sound like a fun ride
