Default How does it fit ?

There's a rubber unit that sits on top of the tappet cover on the 89-92 models It's a sort of triangular shape piece of rubber with a number of holes in it. I've had it off a number of times, but never been totally sure exactly how it fits properly.
I've heard it bolts on under the coils......
Does anyone know for sure ?

Does it have 4 '+' shaped cuts in it. If so it does sit under the coils.
Many threads back we talked about an air dam thing and you had mentioned that you were missing yours. I think that it is what was missing.

I am in Georgia now and my bike is 950 miles away. I would snap some pictures for you if I were home. damn!

Thanks TBT and Martin !
When I first bought the bike it wasn't fitted that way and I've been wondering ever since.
The manual doesn't show you - it was one of those things - "I'll ask someone" and you never do.
The wedding tackle will be a bit cooler too !
Thanks guys

It would be nice if you reported back in with the results of the installation. Now that it is getting warmer your way, is there more or less heat from under kind of feedback.

I also think that it might help as a rain guard for the plugs and wires. Oh well! Honda put it there.

That I'll do TBT.
Yes weather getting warmer, although it's been raining for the past week almost non-stop.
We'll see about the rainguard, although I've ridden in some real soggy stuff and it wasn't a problem.....
