HOBBIES and PET HATES
Home theater (High Definition Projector shooting HD DVR images and Blu-Ray on a 133" diagonal screen). Which allows me to enjoy my other great escape: movies, concert videos, comedians, football (college and NFL), and Nascar.
Wine, Tequila, Margaritas, Liqueurs, and the list goes on.
Cooking, inside and out.
Home improvement/decorating (it used to be a necessity with the older houses - lately build out a theater in the new attic).
Visiting and socializing with family, friends and neighbors.
Indian Restaurants, Sushi, and Mexican food.
Reading Non-Fiction.
Yep, I hate yardwork. Which is why I live so close to Mexico.

I like fitness: jogging mainly,
That's why I just carry a gun. I hate running THAT much.
Maybe I should add "running" to my pet hates list.

Trout, I'm with you. First, I hate to sweat. Second, when I was just starting 9th grade (first year at High School) the coach said "go out and run 4 times around the track and come back." Almost killed myself. I didn't know that was a mile. He broke that news to us when we got back. Swore I would never do it again. And didn't.
After biking it has to be photography and music which are my passions ... beyond that I love old classic cars and retro anything, I am 34 but very old headed and old school ... it is my dad's fault, he was an engineer and car restorer ...watching him from a child weld up wrecks into the most beautiful useable classics mesmerised me ... I helped him with a few of the restorations too ...
I also love walking the coast path and nearer home the canal tow path, I love people watching too :-)

Oooo! I forgot to post up my pet HATE!
I HATE cyclists!! You know the type , think they're competing in the Tour Du France , in their skin tight gear peddling like mad .
Where I live you get loads of them , cycling through the country lanes , riding two or three abreast , blocking the whole frickin' road .
They think :-
'Man I can go fast! Down hill I can go like 30mph , so I can ride in the middle of the road and hold everyone else up!'
B4stards don't pay road tax or insurance , but they think they own the road , they block off some of my favourite runs on a weekend so they can have there stupid little races , pi55es me off!

God I feel better now I've got that off my chest

I'm a hobby musician, though I do take money for orchestra pit for musical theaters, as it's easy pocket change. I play most woodwinds and rhythm instruments. Aside from that, I love electro-mechanical engineering, and am constantly tinkering with things to make them do stuff they probably shouldn't (see my sig)
Related hates: People who think they're better than everyone else because they play in an orchestra. I don't get all high and mighty about what *I* do for a living. Sure, you get to wear a tuxedo to your gig, but who'd want to do THAT every day? Plus, your pay sucks. I don't get where the attitude comes from. I REALLY get the attitude from people when I happen to be the guitarist for a particular show. It's like they don't think it's a real instrument, or I'm a real musician, even though it's WAY harder than the bowed string instruments. If I'm playing Oboe or something for a gig, I'm one of the gang, but as soon as I show up with the guitar, I may as well have leprosy. It's REALLY bizzarre, as I get paid more than everyone else (they don't know that) because guitarists who can read music are very rare, so the difficulty should be apparent.
I also hate people who do electrical work by twisting wires together and wrapping them in electrical tape. When a lifetime supply of solder is like $3, and shrink tubing is practically free, why do people still insist on doing the most absolute ****-poor job at something they possibly can? You can tell a lot about what a man thinks of himself by how he chooses to fix a problem.
