Post High risk bike`s

How is it that in Quebec the 1987 Honda Hurricane 600 is considered high risk
and the 1000 is not.I have a PDF file of all the bikes considered high risk dating
back to 1986 in case anybody is interested. Not sure how to post it

That categorisation is crap, the 1000 was considered a high risk as well, but it was introduced as a sport tourer by honda ( it was fought in battle and the result was 6 bikes are now considered as low risk bike including the 1100xx , it is a friend working at the protecteur du citoyen owning a hurricane 1000 that filled the complaint.).

The guys whom did this were no expert

There is no high risk bikes, just high risk riders.

The biggest threat on the roas is what is between the ears of poeple, we could get a category of high risk cellular phones or toyota corrolla, because my spill was caused by someone driving while under conversation on a cellular driving a corrolla.

Sorry this gets me angry

Probably because the insurance types don't look at these things in the same way you do. They likely crunch the numbers and the numbers tell them that the 600 is more likely to be involved in accidents than the 1000 is. What this really means is that 600 riders, rather than their bikes, tend to be a higher risk than the 1000 riders This probably makes sense, in that they tend to be younger and less experienced riders.

The risk will also take theft data into consideration, so if a particular model of bike /car is desirable to thieves it will increase the premium.

registration.I`m glad that although you were in a accident caused by another cell
user that you seem to be alright.Thats why I don`t ride in the city, although the risks
are always there no matter where you are.

Worst part i was not in the city but up north in the Laurentide,.

Guys the 1400$ for sport bikes is only for the yearly plates and 650$ for a sport touring yearly plates, then you have to pay for your insurance for theft and reponsability and then for your driver\rider permits which is 120$

and depending what kind of bike you have or how they classified it the plates will be as stated above. The actual cost of the season just to be on the road is at least 1000$ and that is without the gas, maintenance, tires ..equipement.
