So my buddy help me to make the infamous Y piece out of a block of aluminium. First we did the holes, trying to mimic the angles. We then cut the most we could, following by an awful amount of filing and sanding. Is now installed, and not leaking at idle. I will take it tomorrow for a spin. I still can't believe it is working!

C'aarrn DUB, you know you want us all to appreciate your fine work!

(that means if you do decide to do a run of the SS Y fronts - I'll take a couple)

Cheers, SB

Well it took us two days to complete the piece. The most difficult part to is where the hoses attach. It has to be round, and ours is more like a square. This means that the clamps are going to do most of the pressure on the corners, and less in the flat area. Also, it will be a lot easier to do if you can get away by just making a T, but the angles are more important than what they seem. There is not much room to play with the hoses. If I find a better, faster way to make a SS piece I will let you guys know.

Javier.

You are going to need a lip at the ends or ridging (something for the hose and clamp to grip or butt up to) - or they will blow off under pressure.

I'm guessing Bordo, either not or very expensive for what it is.

Is DUB a member?.......................If so he is strangely quiet regarding the manufacturing request

Cheers, SB

It looks like its still available Seb. At $18.80 US its expensive but you get that with most parts these days. I might buy a couple and keep them in stock seeing as they seem to fail from time to time. Cheers.
