Default Help!!!! Frame sliders for 87 huricane1000???

Hello guys. Benn trying to find any posts in regards of what would fit and what not but looked everywhere to no avail. Has anyone fitted frame sliders on their 1000? What needed to be done? Pics and info will be appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!

I've not seen any applications for the CBR1000F in frame sliders..... But that may be due to the fact that Honda built in a crash protection system in out bikes.

The built in slider works fine but the plastic replacement cover is around $52 USD.

Thanks for the pic TBT... I was looking at the frame and plastics and think there might me a possibility to use some with slight modifications... The bolt that goes from the frame to the engine can be "longer", and the fairing can be drilled to clear... I think it's doable and won't compromise anything structurally, only cosmetically... Follow my train of thought? What do you think? Think I might mess around with the idea...

Hey:

If you do not mind drilling 2 holes in your fairing most any kit will work. I did mine and it looks fine to me.

Hey there cbr1988...That's exactly what I was thinking of doing...Better two small holes in my plastics, that look somewhat nice, than to have broken plastics and/or scratched up paint job!!!!!! I'm in the process of repairing my plastics with a nice black chrome and silver scheme and would hate to get them all messed up with the usual "accidental" drops... Thanks for the input guys and if you could get some pics it would be awesome!!!!! I need to upload some pics of my '87 so you guys can see the before/after pics of when I'm done....
