Here's my rig, a plain, jane RF1000 with a Midland BT2.

The kit comes with both a boom and button mics.

No intercom function on the Parrot, my buddy and I use FRS radios pluged into the aux port on the Parrot with throat mikes. Works great.

Instructions we have for the SK4000 says placement is to left of center not directly
in front of mouth

With most mics you don't want it in front or you get that popping or distorted sound when talking. When using a walkie-talkie or hand held mic, you should hold it to the side of the mouth and talk across it.

Just read F&Q on Sena. It said to have it in front of the mouth. I shall try and see

I haven't read all the posts in this thread but I've used several bluetooth brands and currently use the Scalarider G4 and my experience after several 500+ mile trips with each has been that all of them are pretty much useless for FM radio (none keep the signal very long even in urban areas) and of the brands I've used anyway none work that 'great' for communication either at speeds over 50 mph and unless the mic is directly in front of your mouth. The scalarider does work fine for phone and rider to rider communication at lower speeds (unless you have a full size wind shield in front of you in which case you can communicate at higher speeds) but for music I've found it all but useless. All in all it's still worth it for the rider to rider communication though.

Good point regarding FM - in my case I use the Tune In Radio app, Sirius XM app &
Pandora over 3G - for live stuff

then there's the Dish Sat/DVR app' - but that'd be a bit dangerous as I haven't
tried riding and watching TV at the same time just yet and I'm guessing it could
be against the law too- lol
