Default Heads Up! Tank Bag!!!

I know this should strictly speaking be in the 'pars for sale', but it'll be gone soon and it's a rare opportunity for MK1 owners. I'd have kept it to myself if it was for a MK2

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

He seemed a bit vague about which model it fits, so I asked :-

Dear anthonyjamesb2005,

Hi there, can you tell me where you bought the tank bag from, was it second hand or new? Just wanted confirmation that it will fit the MK1 1000F. Cheers Steve.

Here's a copy of his response to my question :-

Hi mate, it was purchased second hand, this is an original peice that is 20 years old (still in excellent condition). There is a sticker on the laminate saying (donnington park 1991) for a race meeting. This indicates to me that it was used in 1991, my bike was a mk2 1990 G reg and it didn't fit, the mk3 wasn't produced till maybe 1994 so I am almost certain this is intended for the original CBR1000F...

Hope this helps

Quick,
tell Shakey! It'll go nicely with the pink leathers, even though they're circa 1959. Te he....
I've seen 'em Mark. Wax it up and flaunt that mule suit Brudda'!
Mind you if he had this tank bag, on longish trip it would be perfect for the seal skin toothbrush and the velvet smoking jacket.

My advice, get a magnetic one. One size fits all. Pack and ride.......yeeeeeehaaaaaaaa!!!

Yep gotta agree, I just can't work out how you're supposed to fit those straps between the tank and the fairing cowls when there is absolutely no room to do that?

Love the magnetic bag, best thing since girls.

The bagster is designed to stay in place - the base section stays on the bike all the time and the bag which attaches to it is removable. As I recall the tank has to be lifted/removed and the base section installed.

I'd hate to see what would happen to the tank if any grit went between the base section and the tank

As Kiwi says - magnetic bags are the way to go IMO.
