Nice work..... looks real good. You should polish the forks like i did and stick the DUAL CBS sticker on them. They look great.

Thanks, it really like the colors, even though they are Raiders colors, but oh well. I still have a lot of color sanding to do before I clear it but I am really happy with the way it turned out so far. Its not as easy as it looks and having the right equipments helps. This would have been impossible without an HVLP paint gun. I know I could have done it with spray paint but I firmly beleive it wouldn't have looked anywhere near as good as it does. Its really nice to be able to do it yourself, but you also have to put things in prespective and tell yourself that its not going to be as good as if you pay someone to do it. But the satisfaction of knowing you did it is amazing. I know it won't win any shows but its nice to be able to tell someone you did it yourself. I can't wait to put the decals on the tank and shoot the clear, then all kinds of glamor shots, then I get to ride her (finally!). The hardest part has been not riding, but it really makes me glad that I know everything that was wrong is now fixed.

Glad that things are coming together. The pics so far look really good and like you said, when you put her on the road everything would have been sorted out. I'm looking forward to the final pics.

Default Clear coat!!!!

FINALLY I got all of the color sanding done and the clear coat down. Ran into a few problems with the temp in the garage (booth ). Here are some prelim pics of the parts with clear on them. Everything needs to harden for the next week and then I will be able to reassemble.

I'm really happy with the way it came out. It could have gone a bit better, but thats the breaks of doing it at home.
