Default Gear Rack

Hi all

I am thinking of making a gear rack for my 88 1k F and was hoping that anyone out there that has a rack on the back of their bike might be able to upload some pics of their rack and mounting positions.

Much appreciated thanx

I am in Brisbane and have a gear rack that was on my 87 1000f. I will swap it for a six pack of Stella.

Nice to have met you Bob,
Thanks for the rack, after making a couple of brackets the rack fit perfect
I like the ability to remove the top half of the rack by just loosening two bolts.

Thanks again for the pics sent and Bob for the rack.

Bout time somebody made a clean looking rack. I for one would like to find a way to weld the rack directly to the passenger grab rail.

<-- No welder...oh so broke

Man I could have used that this weekend !

Just came back from Bike Blues & BBQ, somewhere close to 300,000 people and thousands of bikes of all kinds
will load some pics soon.

Where does the rear of that rack mount up ?
I may have to make one my self.......

I have a 37 liter top box which usually is fully packed when doing longer trips. I guess I have done trips with around 8 kg (17-18 lbs?) with no problem.

I've been looking for a Gearsack rack for a couple mnths but seems they're all in Australia and most won't ship here to the states.

Any idea how much that would cost if I did fine someone willing to ship??

Thanks guys.
