My missus reliably informs me that our local Asda sells unleaded for £0.92 per litre, what a rip-off you may say, but ask any of us in the UK and that's a good price of late and it's slowly rising again with another £0.02 rise in duty/tax due September.

Yeah we get ripped off , an' we gonna get shafted big time 'cos we gotta pay for the bankers fck ups. We gonna get 18 inches of pain while the bankers spend their bonus

We pay the same as everyone else for our gas (market rate) , the difference is TAX!

I rode about 150 miles yesterday 2 up with new tires, all highway, and got 48.5 mpg. My speedo is a little off due to a sprocket change, but still should be at least 45

If I fill my bike on the side stand from "reserve" to the brim is about £14, this will give me about 170 miles before I have to switch to reserve again.
Petrol over here is around 94pence a litre.
So I worked it out to
94x5= 1 gallon(imperial) £4.70
£14/£4.70=2.98 gallons (@3gallons)
170miles/3gallons=56mpg
So therefore if I ride like a nun and dont go above 5500rpm I can get 56mpg out of the old girl. (bugger that, wring her neck every once in a while, if you want economy buy a diesel!!!)

Well, I checked my mileage on this last tank and I got 40mpg even.
Better than 35mpg..

I ripped on this tank just a little bit, but mostly took it real easy. Such a huge difference riding style makes.
If I hadn't gone on a ride with some Harley guys, I wouldn't have hit the 40 mark...
(Riding with those guys is great for my gas mileage!!)

Hey:
I can't wait to get back on my bike, soon haha,,,but last time I rode it I got about 35 mpg but the hot summer coupled with keeping on it, going up in the mountains of NC, I don't think helped any either. At sea level, NC beach area I have gotten in the 50's but the speed and rpm were kept down low, 50 mph tops Cops strictly enforce speed there.
