Fuel Leak '87
I've noticeddrops of fuel hanging from belowcarbys 1 and 3 on my 87. I've pulled the carbys off the bike and can't see any obvious signs of leakage. At $43 for a gasket kit for each carby, I'm a bit wary of replacing and then find the leak is from some where else ie fuel hose (looks ok on inspection)
Has anyone else had problems with fuel leaks and did you have to put in new gaskets.
I'm thinking ofconnecting up the fuel tank and carby on the bench and see if I can see a leak that way.

I have had a fuel leak that did as yours. It was the T-pipe that splits the fuel between the carbs who had a almost invisible crack. If the bike would not have had a fuel pump it would never have leaked, but with the preassured fuel it sipped out and the dripping looked like it came from the carbs.

Its probably the T-pipe mine was the same way. The originals had a dog that fit a groove on the carb. If you have too much deflection on that plastic pipe (ie.Removing the carbs) it can crack easily I know. Good news is the new one is only $18 and that dog has been omited allowing more movement when mess around in that area. Put it on the stand with the side fairings off and fire her up. Get down with a flashlight and you will see the leak dripping.
