Default Fairing mirrors,glass removal

I have taken off the fairing mirrors,how do you get the glass out and get rubber boot bit off?

also i need to get top screw from fairing where it holds the screen in,screws turn but arent coming out ,any ideas?

As to the windscreen bolts, try taking off the molding that goes around your instruments so you can get at the bolts from the other side. The bolts screw into round friction nuts that are supposed to lodge into the fairing.mounting holes for the screen. If they become dislodged, then the bolts won't come out. With the molding off, you can either push them back into their holes or grab them with a needle nose pliers and then unscrew them.

its the very top bolts of the fairing that i cant get off,..........cheers for reply.

If you're talking about one of the five bolts that hold the windscreen to the fairing, then my answer stands- remove the instrument molding.

When I fitted my new screen, I removed the instrument surround and the instrument panel for ease of access. Quite easy to do and There's a 'How To' that will help

cheers ,looked at that but mine is a 1988 version and is different to the how to.
