Engine Balancer

RE: Engine Balancer
General advice it to play with the balancer only when splitting the cases or rebuilding the engine. However with miles it can drop out of adjustment and need fiddling with. Mine got to the point that a few miles at highway speeds resulted in numb hands. A few minutes adjusting the balancer took care of that. Adjustment shouldn't be needed on a regular basis though.

RE: Engine Balancer
Hey boink, sounds like you adjusted your balancer with the engine off. I tried that and the thing just kept spinning around with no resistance. I inquired on the forum here about it and was instructed to try adjusting it with the engine running. With the engine on I only had to turn the shaft a little and could hear the result. Just turn it counter clockwise until it starts to whine and then back it off a little until the whine stops. Sweet!
