Default Dumb Bike Scammer...

This is on another bike forum that u need to be a member to read.
advert (original ad has been nerfed, this is for another attempt with a R1 as refrence..
http://bikesales.com.au/as/search/sd...erPage=20&x=10

The op emailed the seller asking about it..
[quote]Hello,
The bike is still for sale. My last price is $3,000. It hasn't been involved in any accidents or incidents and it has a clear title. I haven't experienced any mechanical/electrical problems with it. Never dropped.
I had to relocate to UK a couple of weeks ago but the bike is still in Sydney. I need the money urgently and that is the only reason i am selling it. I could come there to meet you if you are a serious buyer.
Email me for any questions you may have.
Thank you,
Monica.
P.S. : i will send you more pics and info./quote]

response (playing along)
More pics/info would be great thanks!

Scaller
Stuart,

I have a speech disorder and i cant talk over the phone, i am emberessed, email works just fine with me. So please feel free to email me if you have any questions regarding the bike.
We stayed only for a couple of months in Sydney, so i didn't really had someone to trust the bike with and i had to garage it. I am sorry but i am the only one who has access to it.
Travelling is not a problem because I work for an Airline. I just want to be sure that you are serious about buying the bike before i start making arrangements.
Thanks,
Monica.

buyer still acts interested

Stuart,

I can meet you Friday, just let me know when so i can make proper arrangements. My only request is that you make a $1,500 downpayment for the bike before I get there. I need a guarantee that i won't loose my time. The first person that will make the deposit will have the bike reserved in his/her name.
The bike is as described, in excellent condition and has a clear title. It is a very reliable bike, runs like new and you won't have any problems with it as long as you maintain it properlly. I don't have any objection regarding a mechanical inspection.
Email me if you feel confortable about this and i will send you more details.
Thank you,
Monica.
P.S: We will use an Escrow company for the downpayment, so it is 100% refundable if you won't like the bike or if it fails the mechanical test.
Buyer continues..
Hi again
friday will be fine for me. just let me know where you would like to meet and at what time.
and before i send the deposit or u booking a flight if you could answer a few questions i have about the bike so i can make a 100% decision before you come over

1 ) Is the cbr the carb model or the more popular RR injected model?
2 ) was the bike serviced at the normal 12,000km mark and did they replace the flux capacitor in the ignition as they normal start to wear out shortly after?
scammers brillient response

Stuart,

Thanks for undersanding. I applied for an escrow membership and i am still awaiting their reply, meanwhile I would need your full name and address for me to inform them to contact you also with more details.
My info:
Monica Ford
25 Newton St.
Leeds, UK
The bike was serviced at 11000 km, i have all the maintenance records of the bike, and they replaced the flux capacitor in the ignition. The bike is the more popular RR injected model .
Thanks,
Monica.

Not bad English for a scammer - many are from eastern bloc countries, and can make up to $50,000 A DAY (their admitted figures) taking money from gullible people.......mainly in the USA
Lots more from Nigeria, govt minister money scams, cellphone sale scams.......
The speech impediment is a nice touch, I haven't seen that one before. Spelling's pretty good too.
Flux capacitor in the ignition....ar ar giggle, snort, choke.....
They do start to go at around 10000....
Nice one, Coopz !

But where do you get the 1.21 gigawatts to start the thing? Those eastern block guy's have better access to plutonium.

Of course not Harry T, I looked on my Garmin (which has the European version 8 maps)and there's no post code either, which is another alarm bell.......

I normally use Yorkshire Flux in my capacitor. The Laco brand is a pretty good substitute though.
