If you go with a clip link, keep a spare with you stored on the bike in the event the chain throws the clip. It has happenned to me.

I have no fear of a clip master link, ran them for years on motocross. I like the idea od silicone tho. I just ordered a new front sprocket and am hoping it takes care of the clicking in the chain. If not I'll pull the trigger on one of these.
