Did I get a good Deal???
I am leaving on Sat. Morning 2AM.
8 hour drive.
I have made an appointment with a local Ohio Honda dealership to have them look over the bike when I get down there.
I am like a friggin kid in a candy store. I can't wait...
I should be home by 9pm Saturday.
Bought a new Bell Sprint Wicked Helmet with a dark smoke shield to match the bike.
The clock is ticking...
The local weather on Sunday calls for sunny and in the mid 40's.
Sound nice to me.
Lets see if these local weathermen can get there SH*T together.
I am up for a ride if anyone in the area is intrested.

Picked the bike up yesterday...
The bike had a couple of things wrong...
The back tire was Bald as a babys *** and she was leaking a little oil from the valve cover.
According to the Honda delaership who inspected the bike, they stated that maybe a little tightening would help.
They said it was an easy fix if tightening didn't fix it.
So Got the Seller to knock off $200 bucks.
I got the bike, the original seat, a bra, a cargo net, and 2 almost new helmets.
I put 100 miles on the bike today.
I love the bike...
The guy at the dealership stated"If you don't buy it...I will"
He also said that this bike was the Cleanest looking 16 year old bike he has ever seen.
The paint and plastics are in Awesome condition.
I washed and waxed the bike today.(not that it need it)

Congrats, nice to hear that it was in such a good shape. A new valve cover sealing wont cost much if a new one is needed. Please keep us updated with your coming impressions.
I just returned last wednesday with a '95 CBR1000, and I must say that I'm pleased. I drove from central Maryland to Northwest Boston to get her and she is quite the machine. A little bit heavy in town, but it gets up pretty good and handles rather well. The guy I bought it from told me it was mint and ran strong, and to my delight he was not lying one bit. There's one scratch on her (1/2 inch stone chip) on the front, and she runs and shifts smooth as silk. She's completely stock with 17,000 miles. It's the silver/black/yellow colored one and I picked it up for $2700.
I couldn't be more pleased, and I can't stay off her. I rode over 150miles yesterday, and rode to work this morning in 40 degree weather if that gives you any idea.
By the way, cool forum. I'll have to get some pics up or something.

Good for you to find such a nice machine. I'm driving in about the same weather conditions here in Sweden, between + 2 to + 7 Degrees Celcius and have no problems with that.
Here are some pictures

Very Nice, kingfisher!
I was riding last night with a guy on a '90. We were comparing the changes from his '90 to my '95, and we noticed that Honda reversed the placement of the gas and temp guages. I wonder why? I mean the guages look identical, just in opposite places. There are other subtle differences which I can understand, but the guages?
Anyway, R1000, 42 degrees F (5.5 C) was still a little chilly for me this morning. I drive about 30min, and I don't wear gloves. I'm ready to go inside when I get to work.
