Default Did I get a good Deal???

Was wondering if I should have bought this bike?
It seemed like a good deal at the time, then I found this forum...
1991 1000F, I did the buy it now but agreed with the seller on $3000
CBR 1000f

I am going to inspect the bike next weekend and per the agreement...If the Bike is not as described I am under no obligation to buy the bike.
I am a 6" 240lb big boy...
I had a chance to buy a CBR 600f3 buy passed.
The bigger cc the better right?
Why am I having second thoughts?
I am looking for a bike that is comfortable...I could care less about beating the GSXR's or ZX's out there...
I am not a speed freak!
I love to ride...
I have had a few cruiser bikes... 2 Vulcan 750's and a KZ1000 police bike.
This will be my first street bike...
From what I have read this is a great bike.
But DID I PAY TOO MUCH????

Sure you did a great deal, assuming the information in the ad is correct.

However, it would be interesting to learn how they managed to increase the power by 24 horses. Either it was a power restricted bike from the beginning, which has been updated, or it was a 135 hp version initially now with reworked head and replaced cams. If you are not a speed freak, it really doesn't mather, the bike pulls good already in stock shape.

Looking forward to hear what was done on engine.

Wow, Guys thanks for the quick replies.
I will keep you all posted...
I am so excited to make this big step...
Next weekend seems so far away.
8hrs to get to the bike and 8hrs back.
Ohhh Can anyone tell me, the length of the bike.
I have a Chevy S-10 pickup short bed.
Can I put the bike in the back with the tailgate down??
I do have a trailer to haul but deadheading a trailer down is gonna stink.

If you don't like linked brakes, the 90 and 91 were the best 1000F's. And the red/black paint is next best after the red/white/blue of the 1990. It could be better if you have those white wheels painted the same red as the body (white wheels are a pain to keep clean). The CBR won Motorcyclist magazine's superbike shootout in 1991 against two 1100's and a 1200.

Was your's a good deal? Well, it looks like it was owned by an enthusiast, and the header and Corbin seat are expensive. So those increase value. But the true cost will be measured in how many smiles the bike brings you. My 1990 is a pleasure to ride, and I always get favorable comments from young and old, male and female, and riders and non-riders.

Ask him to provide hard evidence to the claimed extra 24 horsepower and save some money if he canĀ“t....
