Default Sorry for hijacking

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have a similar issue. I replaced the battery and got the ElectroSport R/R but the bike died after maybe 20 miles of riding, with a couple starts in the middle. Now I'm shopping for a stator but they've been discontinued. Does anyone have an extra for sale? Ebay and Craigslist are not giving me anything. I've got a '94, so '93-'96 should work. Thanks in advance.

I have same issue, replaced wiring harness and tried 2 r/r.

I had to order a used stator from a junk yard. They are very hard to find. Mine comes Tuesday in the mail and I hope it resolves my issue. My bike was in the shop for 2 weeks. Before I became frustrated with them. They were supposed to order a stator and. They didn't follow instructions. So I picked it back up.

I self diagnosed it as the stator, the shop was to confirm that and order one. They didn't. So I used google and ordered one from a salvage yard for about $300. Used. Ugh.

Good searching! Man I hope this doesn't fail on my bike....seems impossible to find them! Maybe someone rebuilds them? How is the one working that you got?

Hey guys I'm struggling with this again...

So I'm now on my second failed electosport R/R. I sent it out again to be warrantied (no idea what their policy is so we'll see how hat goes). But this will now be the third high quality R/R I'm putting on this bike this summer. Let me run through my numbers again

Stator coils
0.4-0.5 ohms
Field coil
2.5 ohms
Battery voltage read through red/white and the green wire.

The one thing I'm used to seeing is a spec for AC output voltage at a particular RPM. My last bike spec'd 80 volts at 5k rpm. I checked the output on my cbr and it was putting out 2.2vac at 5k.

Idk if this has to do with the field coil not be triggered or something (I'm no electrical engineer) but the output seemed way too low. Has anyone ever checked the output of their bike or seen a spec for the 1000fs?

Thanks in advance

Service manual, is where I found my info, my guess 80 volts is a bit much, over output, could be burning up your rr.

Sorry if I put too much info in that post. 80vac at 5k rpm was the spec for my 82 gs650.

My CBR gave me 2.2vac at 5k rpm and that seems really low to me by comparison but since I haven't been able to find a spec for that I don't really have a clue what numbers I should expect.

My worry is that I have something stupid burning up R/Rs because at this point I want to sell the bike.

Cbr1000f,

The red connector from stator, 3 yellow wires, ac, should be each one, at 55/ 60 volts ac.
All three, should be about the same,

Mine is 1990.
