You can email afsmotorparts@chello.nl and ask how much they will charge for a Hyperpro rear shock. I bought a newGP shock to the bird for a good price there.

says in manual damping adjuter should be turned anti clockwise to soften with screwdriver it just turns and turns and makes no difference ? shock looks like new

Hi, new member here. Particularly interested in this subject at the moment.

I ride my 1990 CBR1000F two up (with hard bags/panniers), and the OEM shock is getting a little tired now, even at max preload. I'd like an aftermarket unit, or a rebuild of the original one.

Anybody know of an aftermarket source, or a good rebuilder. Preferably somewhere in the states (where I am) so the shipping won't kill me.

Just about any suspension tuner should be able to do that. Getting them to and at what price might be another question. Start with Traxxion Dynamics and Racetech. If they won't do it they can probably refer you to one of their customers/dealers who can or will. That's all I've got... for now.
