Default CBR1000f 1994 Shock replacement Please help

Hi everyone
Please help. My shock has died and need a second hand replacement. Will an older model shock fit my 'FR' model? I'm really on a tight budget so any help will be gratefully received.
Many thanks
Rich

hi rich
had a quick look at the parts list and could only cross reference yours to a 1993 to 1996 models thats not to say others wont fit maybe one of the more experienced on here might know for certain, have a look on ebay or the like, is you shock completely gone or can you have a rebuild around £100

Hi Wheelnut
The preload adjuster case has sheared and seals blown so I think its had it. Had a look on Hagon and they list one shock for FK to FX so i'm assuming the earlier one will fit. Found a 1991 shock but want to check it will fit before paying out as funds are limited to say the least. many thanks for your help anyway. Rich

The Hagon will work as will a Wilbers 640 (best) or HyperPro etc.

If going used buy the latest model year available i.e in the UK that would be a 99 it'll fit too

Also Brook Suspension in Bradford can rebuild most shocks too for about a ton.

They advertise on EBAY UK

A Wilbers 540 will also work Sprock. Its a cheaper version of the 640.
