CBR 1000f 1989 replacement seat
Hi there and please excuse me if I am not doing this correctly as it is the first time I have joined a forum. I am in Australia and wanting to buy a 89 1000f anddo a full resto. All the ones I have looked at have damaged seats and I have not been able to find any replacements online. Any ideas? Obviously I want it to be the original blue colour without non original stitching on it.
Hi Tooltime, welcome to the forum.
The easiest and cheapest thing to do is to get the original seat re-covered by an upholsterer.
Anyone that does furniture repair should be able to do a good job and it's not expensive.

Welcome to the forum. I saved my original and bought a spare in eBay.
I had that one recovered by SARGENT. You also have other companies like CORBIN and I think still around MUSTANG. Being Down Under, I bet you can find a used seat either on eBay or in a salvage yard.
And if money is not an object, then here you go the best I could find, original and in great shape, but black in color, have it recovered locally like they said before. :-(
