My choice would be velcro to hold it on - self tappers are good but a problem if you need to remove it in a hurry.

Nice one mate, looking realy good.
As for fitments, what about a return edge on the rear to lip under the seat and a captive nut each side of the front corners with a mirror head setscrew to secure it?
It might mean a bit of a rework on the rear part but as you say its a prototype.

Not yet mate,i want to get a purfect sample before i even think about fixing it to the seat.
But being in the country ,have to wait for the weekend before i hit the big smoke[ballarat] to get the gell pack for the master mould.
Still think a couple of hidden self tappers would be the go,below the grabrail line of sight.

If they were to be stolen,well the Urchin would have to break it away from the seat......

One big issue i noticed with this project is the very tight fit of the seat,plus the grabrail making things even tighter when the cowl is in place.......

Not trying to be picky mate but that dyna-bolt in the wall needs to be set a little deeper.....Ha Ha
