Default CBR 1000 F is an incredible comfy bike

I tested CosmoBob's CBR 1000 F today. Since I now drive a Hayabusa myself, it was very obvious how much better the comfort is on the Cane. Both the sitting comfort and the wind protection. The difference was not as big compared to the Blackbird, but also then there i a differencein favour to the Cane.

Just wanted to report a freshimpression.

Thanks R1000 - are you still happy with your decision to buy the Busa ?
I've been considering a Blackbird - comparing the Blackbird to the CBR1000F what are the strong and weak points of each ?

Yes I'm very happy with the Busa regardingperformance, but...it needs to be fixed with a higher screen and raised bar to comecloser to the premiumergo of the CBR 1000 F. The power and torque and engine response is outstanding though on teh Busa, on all rpm's. And the Busa chassi is as good as on any modern sportbike, i.e. very competitive and secure.

CBR 1000 F vs. Blackbird...Same here, thr CBR 1000 Fis much comfier. The Bird has a bitmore power on top but less on response on midrange, which is veryimportant to get the right feeling. The Bird has a slightly more agile chasssi than the Cane, but this is not a real problem with the Cane and the Bird's chassi has to be reworked to be OK. You need to modify the ergo on the Bird to get in the same division asthe Cane, and if the Bird engine is left stock it is not strong enough to motivate a change from the Cane.

Summary, the bikes after my Cane; the Bird and theBusa, has degraded in comfort but improved in performance. The Busa is the only one to me that is quite OK stockregarding engine performance and handling, but it must be improved comfort-wise to be fullyloved.

Another issue is the look of the bikes. The Cane is OK, the Bird has an ugly gasoline tank and a too wide rear fairing. The Busa isvery good lookingfront, but has a but-ugly rear. I think the Cane is theoverall designwinner.

Thank you for your opinion on these bikes. I am also thinking of buying a Bird as my 2nd bike.

My bike is great in many ways! It is not as powerful or easy to maneuver as for instance the Bird, the Gixxer or the Busa are, but for my money it is the absolutely best bike! As stated before "High speed touring is excellent" and I find it hard to imagine riding for a full day on the Gixxer. The Cane is Super!

(ok, I wouldn't mind a bird or busa either...)
