carb sync 93 model
I'm guessing here that if you only use one gauge, you would have to keep going back and forth numerous times before you get them right. Probably more of a pain in the *** but if you have the time I think it's doable. Now that I think of it, it sounds just like trying to corner balance a car using one scale instead offour.
What corner balance?
Thats' right Imo000, its doable buy heaps of time, you could make up a switch box so you could switch the guage to different carbs.
or if you has a set of carbs that were way out, you could use the single guage to get them closer.
It's like, I brough2 cheap drills, an XU1 Corded an a XU1 Cordless.
The $15 corded is great, Not a quality product, but does the job, had it for years, had it smoke a couple of times, but good value for money.
The $20 cordless was a piece of crap, now replaced with a $400 Hitachi.
Most tools, you need to spend a bit more on, I'm learning.

I had mine balanced by a mechanic a few weeks ago and watched him do it. It's pretty straightforward.
I just ordered a Morgan Carbsinc (the pound is a good exchange rate right now!) as I need to do some more fine tuning of the mixture and will need to re-sinc them. I'll also be using it on my wifey-pooh's KZ550 so I'll be getting my money's worth out of them.

Corner balancing a car is: To adjust the ride height at each wheel to achieve a desired weight balance between the front./ back and left/right tires “cornersâ€. You need to have an adjustable suspension (mostly adjustable coilovers) to be able to do this and preferably 4 scales (one under each tire) to do this.
You guys are awesome!!! I really appreciate the help. I printed out the write ups, which are excellent by the way. Not going to be able to report to you all how it went for a few weeks though.
I still have the brake problem that I am going to try and tackle this weekend. Going to pick up a Mighty Vac tomorrow and bleed brakesto see if it will fix my having to pump the rear brakes to get a pedal, and why the front brakes arenot engaging the rear.
Whats neat about all this is that even though I have a few problems going on with my bike (which is natural at 15 years old with 50k miles) its still very driveable and i ride it to work every day!!

So I am having some difficulties with syncing my carbs even after reading all of this. I have pulled the carbs completely off my bike to clean them. I am getting ready to put them back on. But I cannot figure out how to hook up the sync to the carb. Could someone please help me out? I bought a 93 cbr1000f in peices and It's almost all back together. I would really appreciate some detailed pictures showing me where exactly to hook my sync gauges to.
Many Thanks!
Many Thanks!

I picked up a Motion Pro Carb Stick for about $80.00 on Ebay. I prefer the tube style over the gauge setup.
I sinc my carbs prolly every 2 months or so. I can tell when the are getting a bit off because there will be a slight surging at low speeds.
Takes me about 30 minutes to do it.
